How we got here
Built after watching too much good work go unpaid
Micro-work has always had the same two problems: providers can’t tell if a task will actually get done well, and workers can’t be sure they’ll get paid for doing it. Escrow fixes half of that — funds are locked in the moment a campaign publishes, so a worker’s payment already exists before they start. Structured, category-specific submission forms fix the other half, because a labeling job, a moderation queue and a transcription batch are not the same shape of work and shouldn’t share one generic text box.
We’re a small, distributed team — engineers, a trust & safety specialist, and support staff spread across nine time zones — building the platform we’d have wanted to use on either side of the marketplace.
