Terms of service

Last updated September 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of Task Label. If you’re here as a worker, read them alongside the Worker agreement.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Task Label, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you’re using Task Label as a worker, the Worker agreement also applies and takes precedence for anything specific to completing tasks and getting paid.

2. Description of service

Task Label is a marketplace connecting providers who publish micro-tasks — surveys, AI data labeling, content moderation, transcription, and custom work — with workers who complete them. Task Label facilitates the connection, escrow, and review process; providers and workers are independently responsible for the content and quality of their tasks and submissions.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
  • One person or entity may not operate multiple worker accounts to circumvent per-account limits or ratings.
  • You’re responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

4. Payments and escrow

Publishing a campaign funds an escrow ledger for the full reward pool (reward per submission × total slots) at that moment. Approving a submission releases that slot’s reward to the worker’s balance. Rejecting a submission does not release payment for that slot.

Withdrawals to a bank account are processed within 3 business days. A platform fee is applied to published campaigns as shown at the time of publishing.

5. Prohibited conduct

  • Publishing tasks that request illegal content, personal data harvesting, or activity that violates a third party’s rights.
  • Submitting fabricated, plagiarized, or AI-generated work presented as original human work where a task requires otherwise.
  • Manipulating ratings, reviews, or approval rates through coordinated or fraudulent activity.
  • Attempting to bypass escrow, payout, or review mechanisms, or to exploit a bug for financial gain.
  • Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against another user.

6. Intellectual property

Providers retain ownership of the content and instructions they publish. Workers retain ownership of their submissions until payment is released, at which point the provider receives the rights described in the task’s instructions; absent other terms, an approved submission grants the provider a non-exclusive license to use the work for the stated purpose of the task.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms, the Worker agreement, or applicable law. A suspended account is redirected away from all dashboards on its next request. Funds already earned and eligible for withdrawal are not forfeited solely due to suspension, except where the suspension is for fraud or a violation directly related to those funds.

8. Disclaimers

Task Label is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee the quality, legality, or accuracy of tasks published by providers or submissions made by workers, and we are not a party to the underlying work arrangement beyond facilitating escrow, review, and dispute resolution.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Task Label is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Task Label, Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to these terms

We’ll update the date at the top of this page when these terms change and notify active accounts of material changes before they take effect.
